Our Midi Hat Tipi tents are
built to last
What makes our Midi Hat Tipi’s special?
Little brother to the Giant Kata, the Midi Hat has been reduced in size to make the majority of tasks a one person job. This significantly reduces the install time, saving on your labour cost.
With similar design elements to the Giant Hat, the Midi Hat also allows for the sides to be raised, and linking other structures is possible due to the arc and triangle combinations. The reduced size and weight of the Midi Hat tipi, means that set-up times are greatly reduced – requiring less manpower and less time working at height. Ideal for smaller functions still wanting a multi-Tipi set-up.

Rest assured the Midi Hat uses all the same materials as the rest of our Tipi range:
- All our Tipis are manufactured with Coated Campshield FR1 from Tencate Outdoor Fabrics, a coated polycotton canvas that is the best-performing, premium product on the market.
- Combined with our Military grade Cordura Skirt, the best Stainless D-rings, fittings and bulletproof zips.
- Wooden poles are sourced from the North of Sweden, where the poles grow slowly in cold conditions, giving close growth rings and exceptional strength for their size.
- All our metal fixings are zinc plated to ensure they remain rust-free for the life of the tipi.
- Structurally tested in all their configurations to meet the British standard for temporary structures BS EN1782.

What exactly is a Midi Hat Tipi?
The Midi Hat Tipi is suitable for most event usage, and harsh weather due to the high quality manufacturing with carefully selected materials. The structure can accommodate up to 50 – 80 guests. It is perfect for smaller corporate events, mini festivals, and weddings.
How can a Midi Hat Tipi help my business?
Due to it’s size, the Midi Hat will allow your business to offer event space for medium size weddings and mini festivals, or alternatively a bar and entertainment area. By expanding your overall capacity, the possibilities for generating extra income are endless.
Are Kata Tipis weatherproof?
Yes they certainly are. The canvas we selected for our range of tipis is the best waterproof and fire retardant material on the market.
How quickly can we get a tipi from Kata?
As we manufacture our tipis in-house, we have full control over the process, which means our lead times are shorter than other companies. If you need your structure for a certain date just talk to us about your requirements and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Is it possible to lease a tipi?
We understand that there are many business start-ups, or existing companies seeking to expand who don’t have the capital in place when they need it. For this reason, we now offer a versatile and tailored lease scheme, just talk to us to find out more.
Do you offer servicing on tipis?
Kata now offers a free auditing service. Our teams come out to do a full on-site inspection, and we then provide you with a report containing recommendations for any replacements or repairs.
